Several years ago, I had a tree stump I needed to remove that was on the side of my house. I got out my goggles & chain saw and was going to cut it enough to call out a stump grinder company to take the rest of the tree out.
As I approached the stump and started the saw, I suddenly visualized a shape within the tree and scripture was brought to my mind "Isaiah 53:5 He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed"
I started carving instead of cutting and ended up with my first inspired sculpture. From there started my occasional gathering of different wood that I come across while walking in parks or driftwood found along beaches.
| We have also been blessed with time spent up in northern Washington and have taken some beautiful photos of nature and landscapes. As part of our photo collection there are also pictures that we have taken during our travels throughout the United States and also pictures taken down in Oaxaca Mexico. |  |
